Technology in Motion is taking a huge leap towards closing the diagnosis gap for flat head syndrome in babies, with the development of an app to support parents in their decision-making and treatment journey.
Thousands of babies are born each year with flat head syndrome and Craniosynostosis.
Technology in Motion specialists 3D scan and map infant skulls, then produce bespoke orthotic helmets to guide a baby’s head as they grow. Early intervention gives the best results, so the company is keen to ensure that parents have accurate information on which to base decisions far sooner.
With remote appointments and treatment available, the company is already helping families in the UK and worldwide.
With the help of a Digital Enterprise grant, Technology in Motion is now developing an app that will support parents with useful information and communication with the clinical team. This project builds on the team’s development of its website with the help of a £6,000 Digital Enterprise grant in 2022. This enabled clients to book and attend appointments online, as well as completing online questionnaires.
The app takes this development further and makes the client experience smoother, helping more families get early diagnosis for their children.
The App will be launched in early 2025 and will be further developed to be available in multiple languages which will allow the company to extend its global reach.
